Triangles! You go, girl! This looks great. I started a triangle experiment but put it on hold for many other projects. And, I think I was intimidated by that tricky lining-things-up thing you referenced! Must read another tutorial before I put all that under the presser foot.

Sweet fabric. I like how it turned out, but totally understand why you’d want to put buttons on the placket. If I ever make it, I probably will, too.

I’ve been debating whether or not to go to the Lancaster AQS show this week. The idea of not going seems strange, yet the last few years have left me wanting. I too seem to go through it in an hour. Makes me miss those old days as a new quilter when almost everything struck me with awe!

I do like that Susan Lenz quilt… great hand stitching!

I will eventually come to a meeting! It’s making the time to get down there on a Saturday that’s been tough so far. I was trying not to blow my budget shopping yesterday, but I do like the chance at the quilt show to buy fabric in smaller quantities (fat quarters) than I normally buy online, from a variety of shops instead of buying everything from one to justify shipping. Although I realized yesterday that the cost of my ticket was more than shipping, so it’s a wash. – Meagan

I considered going to the show but, after your review, I think I’ll skip it. If it was a free event, then I’d definitely go. You should really come to one of the guild meetings! March’s meeting will include a pot holder swap and the scrappy tripalong block is our BOM. But you don’t have to participate – you can just hang out

I love those matchy dresses. So smart to make them in an interlock fabric. I wish my daughter would actually wear the dresses I make her. Boo.

Thanks for your comment on my blog. I agree with you when you wrote that “gifts need to be something the recipient wants to receive.” I am trying to merge that belief with another belief which is that I also have to follow my own voice when I am making stuff. Otherwise I feel like I will get totally burned out! We will see how it goes!

What a great list of books. There’s a few there I’ll have to see if I can find at my library. I can’t think of any to suggest, I know that sounds boring but I haven’t read any really stand out books recently.
